Automatically detecting job specific talent: the assess-o-mat
When it comes to recruiting talent, aptitude tests assessing general mental abilities (GMA) are good predictors of future job performance and are frequently used in combination with instruments assessing job-related personality traits or competencies. However, keeping testing regimes as concise and valid as possible is a key factor for recruiting companies. Therefore, HR-practitioners are faced with the challenge to find the ideal combination of instruments to do online assessment for a specific job. The assess-o-mat follows the idea of having the expert in a box. Based on AI technology the assess-o-mat uses the represented knowledge of experienced HR consultants as well as the findings from countless empirical studies on predictors of future job performance in order to automatically set-up the ideal testing regime. The assess-o-mat uses an innovative interface to collect job-relevant information and is defining the underlying job profiles on the basis of non-linear pattern recognition technology.
